Turn Signal LEDs
Hi! I'm sorry if this has been posted before but I'm getting aftermarket housings which don't have amber glass, so as such, I've ordered 1157-size yellow LEDs to replace the turn-signal bulbs. Now I understand these will require a load resistor.
The most common load resistor online it seems is roughly 50W, 6ohm. I'm not sure how much wattage our cars push to the standard 1157 bulb so I'm not sure if that's enough/too much. Does anybody have any insight to this?

i've tried 3 different flashers and none work. so this is what you need. to achieve this you need to have LEDs in all your blinking lights however. so if you have LEDs all around this will work, if not, every time you turn the signal on you'll burn the resistor.
This is the resistor you need. 10 ohm or below.
then you open the flasher, and solder out the little metal loop and put the resistor in its place. Voila it works now. had mine for half a year now and my flasher is messed up and it still works sometimes. the first time i did it i burnt the resistor because i still had regular bulbs in the headlights.
if you get a really low ohm resistor like below 1 then when a light goes out the hyperblinking will happen again to notify you that a light is out.

yea thanks for that man, that really helped out. except i need a new flasher or something is wrong. it sometimes hyperblinks like crazy and then stops, or sometimes just completely stops and then continues after a few seconds. what do you think it could be? bad connection on the solder which i doubt because it's caked in there, or the flasher going out because i had that little burn accident with the other resistor.
