Well i recently bought my 8th sc300 and the previous owner told me the sunroof will open but not close. the car i purchased was a 1997. lucically i have a parts car here that im about to scrap however the parts car is a 1992 model. did those sunroof asemblies change at all through the years?

Also ive parted out a few of these cars but have never removed a headliner from one nor have i removed a sunroof any pointers on how to make this eaiser or helpful hints? i plan to remove and replace the whole asembly rather than fix mine. i have searched with no avail on this subject. thanks in advance.

I took my sunroof out, remove all the trim, and courtesy light, then the headliner is held up with velcro. Hope you have a good headliner, i would think there was little change from year to year but have no proof. I removed the sunroof as an assembly and it looks riveted together as one peice.

I swapped the whole assembly from a 97 to 92 since I couldn't figure out how to switch the sun shade. So prolly works backwards also
