Default Interest in SC400 Vortech supercharger write up

Thinking about making templates and doing a COMPLETE write up on installing a Vortech supercharger onto a 1uz. I would get down to all parts needed, spacers needed, bolts and so on.

Basically allowing some one to easily duplicate my setup.

There has not been allot of interest in my current threads though and I don't really want to take the time if no one cares......

I'd love to follow along. I don't know if I'll ever go that route (I supercharged my other car and sometimes wish I had left it stock), but nothing beats a detailed write-up for weighing options. And salivating.

Definitely interested man, please post your work up, any tutorials are greatly appreciated, and I'm not getting rid of my 1UZ anytime soon! Thought of going GTE route, but honestly I like the 1UZ and knowing how good mine is condition wise I would prefer supercharging it. Bookmarked!

I'm not familiar with your build thread or setup. My big 2 questions before reading through a write-up are 1) whats the cost, and 2) whats the hp gain?

Alright all, I will work on a write up. Not going to be an immediate thing but shouldn't be too long.

There are way too many variable to honestly accurately answer either of those questions.

As far as power, I was making around 400rwhp with the little v9 vortech at about 12 psi. Lots of supporting mods. Working on upgrading to a v2 which is capable of pushing 22 psi and looking to make around 550-600rwhp.

As far as cost, it can be done cheaply or all out. The most expensive part will of course be the supercharger. They can be found used pretty cheap. I paid 900 for the v-9 and it was on the car for about 7 years. Lots of other little things needed but nothing too expensive by itself.

Do itttttt!!! It would give me motivation to supercharge my car, instead of sitting there collecting dust.
