Default back in game

Finally after 7 years i have some free time to work on a project. Just bought this TLC 93 SC400 for a few hundred bucks today. It was listed as needed a new transmission but I'm not sure if it does. After driving for 30 mins or so it will slip out gear; turn off the car start it back up and back to normal.

ASAP Needs:
Rack and pinion
Transmission Solenoid
Window motor repairs

Future mods:
cd001 transmission
I/h/e
Ls400 brake upgrade
full suspension
97+bumpers
plasti dip the whole car

I did Rack & Pinion and suspension on my '94 SC400 within the past two months. I went with the Duralast R&P from AutoZone (~$200 after the Ship to Home discounts they're always running) and the KYB #341161/341162 OEM replacement struts from Amazon (~$260). Those were the best deals I found in shopping around. The pre-purchase inspection quoted me $500 for the R&P alone.

You had me at hello

but lost me at plastidip

Don't spray that junk on your vehicle. It never sprays even, it's difficult to keep clean, and is a PIA to remove once you realized how bad it looks.

Yeah, $134 or so core charge. But I just look at it as a temporary charge to carry for a month on my CC... If you have an AutoZone nearby (I have one a couple blocks away), it makes returning the core very convenient.

Started to clean out the junk in the car today and stumbled upon this harness on the passenger side of the trunk. Does anyone know what its suppose to be connected to?

Its hard to see since it was kinda tucked under that metal box

Interior.. not too bad for a 21 year old car.

That's the stereo wiring. The metal "box" is the mount for the speaker amp. Do you have an aftermarket head unit? It looks like the original wiring has been cut and spliced, so the OEM amp is probably being bypassed. I took mine out, as that space makes for a nice little dip to store stuff in that you don't want rolling around.
