Default Stock radio replacement, plugs dont match

Hey guys,

so i bought a replacement radio unit in hopes of replacing the broken one i have. The installation went fine with the exception of two plugs.

The plugs i have in the car, dont match the radio that i bought. The radio i bought is a stock radio from a 96 SC. Both are pioneer.

This is what the back of my radio looks like.

Here are the plugs in my car:

Here is what the new radio plugs look like:

Here is a diagram i found that matches the new plugs:

what can i do that will allow me to connect the radio? preferably with out having to splice or cut any wires.

thanks in advance for the help

They're from different years. Best/easiest thing to do is to go find a radio from the same year SC you have.

The only other option you have is to cut off the existing plugs, buy new ones that fit the back of the unit, and figure out the corresponding wires, then solder it together. MUCH too much work IMO, and may end up costing you more in the end.

I highly suggest simply putting this unit on craigslist for like $70 and using that money to buy a new one. I see you're in Florida, there should be NO reason why you cant find an SC radio unit for like $20. Thats really your only option. Splicing in a new plug would be wayyy to hard, especially figuring out the corresponding wires. Thats even IF a different year unit will even work in an different year SC.

It's a long shot, but try going to the Crutchfield site and asking in live chat whether there is a harness to do it.
