Default a new clicking coming from my diff area

hello cl, i have a 93 sc300 wit h a welded diff, and its been running fine.
recently a CV joint started to click and i know i need to replace that, but more recently, i started hearing a sound that i can only describe as a card in a bike spoke...or vibration, but ONLY when my car is in gear and im not on the gas, or if im braking (in gear or not)
so only have a few questions.
1. fixing a cv joint, should i just replace the whole axle? would a sc400 axle fit? (note that im not sure if replacing the axle will fix the cv joint, an employee at monument car parts said thats the easier way to fix it, so im going with his word that this is what i should do)

2. anybody havee any idea what this clicking could be??

going to jack up my car now and try pushing the axles around, see if theres anything not normal going on back there.

okay, before i get a new drive shaft, im going to start by replacing the axle, the cv joint could be in just REALLY bad shape, i think ive read that the sc400 axle fits in the sc300, and is a bit bigger (im drifting so might as well go with bigger)
any input here?

Stock or poly diff bushings? If they are stock with a welded diff the diff move a lot and is most likely tearing everything up with it, The diff ear bushings go bad in stock sc's so add drifting in to the mix and it's a for sure problem.

i suppose it could be the diff bushings, im going to try those first...being a 93, it wouldnt hurt to update regardless.
not saying its not my drive shaft but im not convinced it is

Here is an example of how bad they are most people overlook how critical the ear bushings are

Aliga Sells them on here and you will hate life with solid bushings as they cause major vibration in the car it just ruins a street car .

the other side is just a cotter pin and a nut and u might need to use a air hammer to get it out of the knuckle, but if ur replacing it just use a big hammer

so i just replaced the axle and the clicking sound from the diff is continuing, im thinking i may need to drain and refill my diff. seeing as its welded, maybe some of the welds have broken and a tiny little piece of metal is just bouncing around?
idk im really out of ideas. at the moment
