Default Just a quick question about my SC300

I think my AC compressor died today.... Sometimes the compressor would shut off if I sped of too fast from a stop...the ac light on the climate control would start flashing and I would have to turn it off then back on and it would work again....

But today I took off from a toll booth and it did it so I flipped it off and on again and it didnt get cool... so I pushed the button again and then a strong burning smell came into the cab and the climate control went completely off with no power to it....So I figured the climate control died and shot over to the salvage yard and picked one up but it did not in fact work either...no power going to the climate control at all....checked fuses under hood and they all looked good but I could smell the burnt smell under the hood too... so i figure the compressor finally succumbed to leaky power steering hose Does that sound right? or anyone got any other trouble shooting ideas?

Im about done with this car anyone in houston wants it come get it for 1100 bucks...

Seats are decent... not the original leather. needs passengers map pocket, tilt wheel dont work, sunroof leaks, antenna broke The usual SC problems you would expect.... Im just tired of messing with it and ready for something else.... has a pair of 10,s in the trunk too.

Will trade for older toyota tacoma and pay some cash too...

Anybody? If the compressor fried would it knock out the climate control? seems odd to me...I saw no problems with the wiring harnesses behind the climate control and the plug to the compressor looked okay too... cant imagine where the burnt smell came from other then the compressor but why would that knock out the climate control? Confused..

God damnit I have 2 project scs already.. im sure we could come to terms with a price but the woman would shoot it down... not to mention of the scs is taking up space at my parents businesses so I dont exactly have room for another.

Check to see if any of the grounds were corroded?
