Hahaha too funny to see thad other people on this forum have a 5th gen prelude as a daily driver.
I own a 97 bb9 (F20a4 engine) Wich i bought bonestock.
This is the daily now :
And if my sc had to go one day i would replace it with a 94 mk4 Supra. LHD,Targa, build 2jz-gte,6speed.

I have thought about putting the Soarer up for sale, would have already if I wasn't buying a house. I was considering a E46 M3, 335i sedan, MK4 Supra TT, NSX, Altezza RS200 Turbo'd, ST205 GT-Four, maybe an FD RX-7 (but the short life of rotaries worries me), maybe a R34 Skyline but I hate their interiors. Whatever I got would have to be manual transmission.

I have been thinking of this question for quite some time, and it's a hard question to answer. I drove a FRS, and although it felt taught and sporty and the interior was sufficient, it was much slower than my stock 92 SC400. It didn't handle better either (mine is heavily modified in the suspension, bushings, alignment and LSD and such) I like the CL55AMG but the maintenance will kill you and the handling will too. I like the E46 M3 but it is the same story albeit better than the AMG. Expensive to mod.
Audi S4 V6TT 6sp was cool car but repairs and electrical are a nightmare. RS4 is even better with the V8 6sp 4wd. It looked ok. R8 best car for the money! It just costs too much money right now. I will definitely have to pick one up when they come down to about 45-55K.
The SL55AMG was nice too and felt faster than the 996 Turbo I drove from the torque of the supercharged V8 but any Merc is going to be expensive. ISF, hmm nice but lacks the class and design exterior/interior of the SC but it sure is fun to drive. 996 Turbo is sweet, has great potential and is a great feeling car behind the wheel. It's not too expensive, seen them for under $30K- Best option so far.
NSX expensive with no potential, FD gorgeous but only with a different powertrain (V8 manual) would I buy one. 300ZX were cool but a nightmare to work on, 3000GT VR4 were heavy but cool cars, but not many shops mod them. Look kind of frumpy. Still prefer something like that instead of an evo.
GS350 06 was the only other lexus I liked as much as the SC but they are not that sporty. You can make them look great though. The new GS F sport is sportier but it looks like a cheaper car on the outside, although the inside is the best they have come up with.
I really like the Bentley GT. Phenomenal car- love driving it. I can find them occasionally for $45K and man they are awesome cars. Man I wish they were not so expensive to maintain and drive (gas mpg sucks). Also everyone thinks you are a **** when you dont tip $100 everywhere you go driving it. Cant have that right now. Class, Design, Style, Power, and they handle very nice too.
GTR's can be had for $45K but I have never liked the R35, I always called them snagapus with that front end. I liked the R34 GTR. Impossible to maintain here in the states.
But there is one car I have liked more than any other car after over 20 years of experiencing them, after driving all kinds of them is the MKIV Supra. Never was able to shake that car off of my mind after all these years. You can do anything with it relatively cheap and it looks great even today, it still is competitive with sports cars today. Even though it hasn't depreciated a red penny in 21 years it still is a great value performance/looks/dollar. It can be built to rival anything out there and still look good doing it. It handles awesome if you want it to. To me a 996 Turbo or Supra Turbo are the two options. They cost about the same, but its a matter of what do you want to do with it. I think the Supra looks better and sounds better and I like the interior better than the 996 Turbo. Its easier to mod, for me the Supra beats the rest.

For me, the answer is/was the Ford Mustang. I bought a fully loaded 2011 Mustang Premium (with nav and the glass roof) to use as my daily, and gave my sister the SC400 to drive to college. My Mustang is good fun to drive, has loads more technology, and is better on gas. However, my OEM 97 5speed NA-T SC300 will never be replaced.

well I have already done this. I parted with my 93' SC300 loaded up with all the goodies and only 120k on her. When I went looking for another replacement car before getting out completely i was stuck between a 944 Porsche and another SC.. So I picked my 97' SC Platinum with black .. and very happy with it.
if i had to part with this one... um MKIV Supra, FD RX7,
Realistically I would get a G8 GT GXP.. always was a sucker for big sedans and a GXP is RWD V8 6.2L LS3 and of course only a 6 Speed ;-) .. room for kids.. fun for dad lmfao

That was my first car. It was an amazing car, never once gave me problems, until I totaled it.
My choice would probably be a C5 Corvette. My cousin has a procharged C5 and it is a beast. Runs door to door with latest GTRs.
Besides, targa top.
I love my SC, and would love to have another, but the battery draining issue's it is giving me is quite frustrating.
I will however probably pick up a daily and build my SC with a 5.3 LM7 turbo auto for the track.
