anybody with Body knowledge can tell me or give me an approximate amount that this would cost to fix? I assume the frame might be bent, I already have a shop that's willing to repair everything and have it repaint for 7k... what costs a lot is the damn labor but this never looked like an easy job.

7 grand seems a little steep, but not by much. They'd have to find parts, blend and check for structural damage. But since this cars rare, it might be worth it.
Have you tried getting competing bids? I saved about a grand the last time I need a total respray.

You should take the insurance check + negotiate a buy back and use the money to buy another SC that needs work. Swap your parts over, part out the rest, and you'll have a car with a clean title. I know a lot of the time with salvage titles you can't get full coverage, only liability. You can either scrap the remaining shell or turn it into an SC dune buggy like someone did a few years back!

i dunno man, i think you should just scrap this one and buy a new one. But thats just me, its already a old car and i assume you where drifting it and hit a pole or something? id just start fresh on a new one.

here's some news, Insurance won't cover anything finally. no check no nothing, but they won't total it, so I'm left with a half dead soarer..
what I decided to do is store it for the years on end and once the money is in the pockets I'll restore it.
thanks for the helps guys, I'll write you a build thread when the day comes!

My wife got in an accident with her SC and we ended up taking the payout. They offered to give us the car back if we were to deduct $1600 from the final payout. We declined the offer and let the car go but I found it later on Copart and ended up buying it back for $750. They cut a check to us and she was in another SC within 3 days of her wreck. And now we have all the parts from her old one and a little extra in our pocket. Couldn't let the Espelir's go to waste.
See how much the insurance company would be willing to give you. You never know, it might be worth it. They based ours on the mileage and condition of the car. We got a little over $4000 for a 92 SC400 with low miles. They told us if we had installed the brand new interior in it that we would have gotten closer to $7000 which is amazing for a 22 year old car. Just weigh your options
