Default EGR hose connection question

I have a 1992 sc300. Stock. Trying to get the vacuum hose connections right because I got a code 71 and apparently had one of the hoses connected incorrectly. Just spent over $4000 on head gasket, water pump, temp gauge, throttle position sensor, catalytic converter, radiator, and more . . . .

So my question is, right below the EGR valve there are 3 connection ports. Does one of these ports go to nothing? Because it doesn't hold any pressure and seems like all other connections are correct.

I'm here at my friends shop now. And I refuse to leave until I'm absolutely sure that its right. Need to get car smogged ASAP. And I live in California. Lucky me.

Any insight will be greatly appreciated! You guys are awesome! Thank you!!

For the record. I believe that one on the pic connects to the intake right above it. On my car it was coming from the intake and split into 2, one going to that pipe, the other went to the heater valve.
