Pics of blue/gray SCs
Hey guys,
With spring just around the corner I plan on getting a new paint job for my SC. The car is currently garnet pearl which I like quite a bit but unfortunately it is keyed all the way around. The problem I'm having is choosing between changing the color to either a dark blue or a gray. Or keeping the color the same. So I was hoping any owners of SCs those colors could post some pics to help me choose. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Did you mean" blue or grey SC's" or blue/gray SC's? I read it as blue/gray Sc's.
If this what you want to see, Lexus calls that color "Platinum Metallic" or paint code 1A0. Include that name in your search and you will see many of them, including mine.
It's the first color I have ever had that doesn't drive me crazy when it's dirty. That RSP blue above is really gorgeous. One of the best blue colors I have ever seen.
If you respray, would you be doing the door jambs, trunk, bay etc?
Id probably hit it with more of that red to save cash.

Just my 2 cents, I'd go back with the original color GP if you like it? It doesn't matter if it's keyed all over, it will be the same amount of body work/prep before the paint is applied. And it would also be cheaper? Assuming your jams, engine bay and trunk are GP? The complete color change is going to be a little more then a repaint? Unless you got some connections in the paint and body world?

Its funny, that one picture of yours at the gas station is what made me buy my platinum metallic SC, and I looked long and hard to get it. However after having it for a while now I gotta say I like dark colors better. My silver spruce looks soo nice at night. I gotta get the paint up to par on the platinum one tho it lost its shine. Hopefully I can afford to get the exterior perfected this year, and everything else I got planned for it.
I totally agree on the dark colors for an SC. My dream SC color is black but I can't see re-painting it for a long time, maybe never. The paint is pretty fresh.

Sorry for getting back so late haven't had a chance to get on here. I mean gray SCs or Blue SCs.I'm not really worried about the price cus from what I've been quoted for so far the GP is gonna be real pricey anyway. I do like the GP but I've seen a few SCs I really liked that were blue and I just like the idea of a darker gray with black emblems and black trim. I'll try to post a pic tonight of the car now.
