Hydraulic fan pump
New to the forum and in need of help. Reviewed many pages of data, but no cigar. My fan pump ('92 SC400).squalled and then FROZE up[. Retrieved a good used pump and started to replace mine. In attempting to remove the pulley the single 17mm nut turns freely but doesn't come off ?? It appears necessary to remove the pulley, but it still seems to be retained by this loose nut, and gentle prying doesn't seem to help. Now I've been working on various Hot Rods for over 50 years, but I guess these furrin cars are just to alien for me, so I'm forced to ask this stupid question. I read with interest about using an electric fan, but I didn't pick up how to utilize the old pump to maintain proper pulley layout for the belt....Or am I missing something, but then I'm back to getting the old pump off anyway ......Byron
