Default OOOPPPSSS....... Got a boo boo. Need some advice!!

Well I was doing something under my car. Got impatient and didn't grab the right jack with jack stands. This is what happened, when the jack shifted and all the weight went on to this portion under the car. It royally made me so mad. I cant blame no one but myself. This is what you get when you get in a hurry to do something.

I need to know if I can beat this out from the inside under the carpet?

How can I access it ?

or can I?

Can I drill a hole in the middle of it and try to pull it out from the underside???

I need this fixed. I know it want be 100% but some effort will be better than none. Last resort might be going to the body shop for estimate for fill it in and paint. That is not what I want to do, since I am DIY selfer! Any advice???? Calling the body repair men....

Thanks

Mark

and NO my TT are not for sale, so don't ask. LOL

I have already that of that. It just doesn't look good with the 92 style front bumper. JMO. It looks worse from the further you get from the car. Just makes me sick. There must be something I can do.

Oh shoot ...lmaol !

There is no way you can beat that from the inside .. Get a tool to pull it out . Hold on , Let me take a picture of that tool and will post it.

Edit : here you go .. something like this . IF it is really tough , get something bigger than this ... then you just have to put bondo or weld the hole.

you will have to jack it up high enough, drill some holes and pull with a slide hammer.then fill it and paint it.or you can slap some 97 sides on

If I drill holes from underside, will this allow moisture or water to get to the inside/bottom of the carpet?

I didn't know if there is another sheet of metal that lies in between them and you cant see it.

Thanks everyone.. Any more thoughts?

There is a process PDR (Paintless Dent Repair ,,, I think).

Cost much less than the body shops.

Cheapest fix actually may be 97+ sides, rear with an OEM lip. Looks like a pain to fix properly man.

Jerry are you using that tool now? Can I borrow it? LOL

PDR has been my best friend, but I think this even above them at this point. Just too much to work with. I might end up painting those undersides black to cover the holes I think that I am going to have to make.

Jerry has the body kit, but he wants to much for them. LOL Want to hook u a friend?

Slide hammer would be best IMO, then fix the hole needed to use the hammer as mentioned before.

i had the same problem with my 96. except i bought it with a big dent in the same spot, and it drove me nuts. that was actually the reason i got a lip for 96 bumper so it would go with the 97 sides. i think it looks legit

Mine has the same thing on the frame under the car where the jack goes, from where people tried to jack it up from the middle of the car. also slight dents on the body of the painted area like you all's too. It always annoys me and I'm waiting for some 97+ dwp sideskirts to pop up around me. Finally got a 97 front bumper.

That portion doesn't go into the car, so yes, moisture will get in there, but no it won't get inside the car. I'd call PDR just to see if they can do anything but my guess would be no, rocker panels are usually stronger than body panels, so it would take a lot of work. The way I see it is you dont have a lot of options, but estimeates are free and painless, so your best bet if you're **** is to head to a body shop and get a quote and ask what they'll do, most likely they won't fill it because of where it is and the abuse it takes, they'll likely use the weld and slide hammer method, unless they're old-school , I which case they'll use the screw and slide hammer method.
