Default My SC400 - Coolant Reservoir

I must admit. I should have taken care of this issue a couple of summers ago when it began. Instead, I attempted a bit of Missouri engineering on this coolant reservoir. I basically did an epoxy job on the "leak" of the 2 plastic pieces that make up this part. Now that some time has passed, the epoxy has gotten brittle & is now beginning to flake off.

My fear is that the coolant will start spitting out the previous leak. Any suggestions on how to repair this problem. Or links for a replacement.

Thanks in advance

I would just buy a new one at least it won't fail for awhile. BTW back in the day I had a friend from Missouri, so what is Missouri engineering?

Since these came out, I am surprised no one has started using them.

For Real.. I've kept everything original on mine... So far.

It required a new thread, simply because I'm new here, and I didn't want to bump an old, dead thread.

Not to be harsh, but why put in your two cents if you have nothing to add to the thread but negative input.

And for the record. I received a message from another forum user that has one and willing to part with it. (Much cheaper than an aluminum one would most likely cost)

Merry Christmas

I just picked up one used off a 1994 with a new coolant level sensor and radiator cap for $30 off another site for local classifieds.

She actually had 3 other sc's on the lot for sale and two on the side for parts. I tried getting the headlights but someone from the Bay drove out and beat me to it.
