Default Broker in Denver is Selling a 92 SC400, testing the value

Hello. I work for Kuni Lexus of Greenwood Village in the Denver area. A local broker came by with a 92 SC400 in White, heated seats and Trac but no Nakamichi with 63,000 miles and it was the cleanest SC400 I have seen in a long time. He said all original paint and I believe him, it was nice. Nice chromes, gold package still looks good. He thinks it's worth $14,000 all day long. I think he is bit high, both mentally and price wise. Just wanted to get the opinions of our forum members to see what a car like that is worth. Thanks!

Pictures would help us alot better. $14,000 sounds WAY to high for a 92' especially with 63,000 miles. Its low miles but low enough to spend $14k on

The price is only reasonable if someone is willing to pay that much for it. Considering market values for 92 SC's which is generally around $2000-$3000 in good-great conditioning, I think it's worth probably $7K max. No one will dish out $14K unless they are a straight up collector who's going to put it in a garage for safe keeping.

For that kind of money you can get a 2000 SC which is superior in every way.

That was my thoughts too. Unless someone is just blind to current market on the car and falls in love with it, $14k will be way off. Thanks for the thoughts!

BTW, I did not have pictures but the exterior was a 9.5 out of 10 and the interior was super clean with the leathers showing very little wear and no cracks.

I had a 93 with 90 000 miles and I couldn't even find a buyer at $4000, no ones buying these cars, he will never get $14 000, for that money you can get a C5 vette, S55 Benz, LS430 etc... it wont happen.

As clean as it was, $7000 would be the money on it. BTW, he said it was worth sooooo much more than a SC300 5 speed that I have. Right....

14k for a stock 92 lol. like everyone said round 7000 is the top of the market and that is if you could find the right buyer.

Someone by me just sold a mint red 92 sc400 with 98k for 9k so it really depends on the market, but this 92 was literally in perfect shape, owner replaced almost everything on the inside with brand new parts from the dealer (seat, carpet ect.) as well as almost all of the suspension. I seriously considered it.

If its super mint your best bet would be to put a nice Lexus dealership listing on ebay. In the last 6 months I've seen the mint ones go between 8 to 10k on there. I agree though 14 is way to high. Heres a link to recently sold SC's on ebay from highest to lowest to give you more of an idea. Good Luck

I'd say mine is worth about $3000 at most. In fact, I'd sell it in a heartbeat if someone offered it. Of course it's got 330K miles on it

But 14K??? The guy is on crack. kbb for a '93 with 63K miles because '92 is no longer in kbb comes out at $6100 for dealer tradein excellent. Private party at $7100. But trade-in is more accurate. I've never paid more than trade-in for a used car in my life including the SC430 with 11K miles I just bought last year. I got it for $1K under kbb trade-in.

Please put up pics..... What is the color combo?

Hard to justify that price without being able to see it but like others have said it it should be at around $6k. I couldnt even see an original brand new stickered SC from 92 being valued any thing over 10k
