Afternoon gents!

Quick question. My car was broken in to and the aftermarket navigation was stolen. The shop that's doing the cleanup is just reinstalling my original Lexus Pioneer stereo back in, but they've run in to a snag. They're informing me that that can't find a radio harness (I'm assuming the radio harness connects the radio to the dash harness) that fits the pioneer, only the Namagachi. Apparently they are on their third order and the Lexus dealer told them they can't find any either.

Any inputs on what road I should go down here? I don't have the car in my possession so I can't go out there and look to try and troubleshoot. Thanks for any help!

It was all cut out, along with the AC connections and cage

I might have to stop by the shop to take a look at what they're saying. They essentially told me they couldn't find a Pioneer harness it seems.

Went to the shop today to get some pictures. You can clearly see this isn't the correct harness (Supplied by Lexus as the correct one), and that only the power plugs in. This almost looks like it's for the older non-digital units since it doesnt even have a micropin plug. It also plugs into the AC unit just fine.

Any thoughts on where to source the correct harness? Everywhere I land online has the same exact part number as this one, which is clearly wrong.

I would go by the local junk yards and see if they have any near you. It would be alot cheaper than what that radio shop is going to charge you plus mark up on their end and will be consumed by you. If they indeed cut the harness, I would install another aftermarket radio, run separate trigger on, positive on, ground, etc, and then find the harness for the climate. I think that would be your best bet.

If they cut the old harness you can still splice and reuse the wires with a new aftermarket harness for a new stereo, just not your stock stereo. So invest a few dollars and get a new head unit and a new aftermarket harness that works for it. You can get really good deals on head units these days, especially used.

Personally I've had great experience at PC Richards. Not sure if they have them by you, but the guys there really know there stuff. I've had every deck installed by them in multiple cars. They only charge $45 to install the head unit, splice the wires, and disassemble/reassemble everything....

Junk yards by me are complete rip offs, I wouldn't even attempt salvaging a wire out of one.

I would have the same advice as the 2 above. Local junk yards or just have the shop splice the stock wires.
