Wanted: Sunroof/moonroof fix writeup
hey guys,
I recently found that my sunroof/moonroof won't close all the day, i have tried to force it to close and its not working, i have seen posts about people just saying to clean the track, but which track? and if someone has a writeup on how to fix this? i see people selling these assemblies on eBay for about $300, usually not including the extra $100 to ship it. Is my sunroof salvageable? it opens all the way and everything i just can't tilt it up or close it. The driver side of the sunroof is the one having problems, pictures and/or video would really help. and what is the best way to access the track?

Mine was acting up as well. I replaced the motor (very easy to do) and it works great now. Part cost me roughly $20 at the junkyard since they charged it as a "window regulator".

im thinking it is the track rather than the motor, and my logic reasoning is that the right side of the sunroof is able to full function while the left side has downs and doesn't keep up. On the tilt feature, the right side will tilt up but the left side just stays down causing the glass to tweak. and but the sunroof opens both side perfectly, and when you close both sides close, but when the glass has to push up to make it flush with the roof, the left side is still kinda down.
