If your car is prior to '97 then those are not "fog lights" but cornering lights.

The "cool oval" OEM fog lights are 400-450 for a pair and re-wiring is needed to convert the turn signal induced cornering wiring to head light related fog lights.

Use the DIY thread or search to find the various write ups on this topic.

Correction, 95-96 have fog lights. You're talking about 92-94, those have cornering lights, it flashes with the signal lights.

Agreed... I have a '92. The shape is the same until '97??? Correct? The OP appears to be a '96 so no re-wiring required.....

The three versions have different shapes. 92-94 have flat lenses whereas the 95-96 have like a line in the middle that goes with the lower bumper grille. 97 and up is when it became oval and changed along with the bumpers and the added side skirts.

OP as an answer to your origional question... depends on the year of your car.
92-94 Wiring is needed to use them as fog lights or else they act as turn signals instead of the steady on look.
95-96 No wiring needed, just replace that bumper, plug in the lights & go.

Everyone's still to-date ignorance on this subject makes me wanna puke.

1992-1994 = 1157 bulb (I think) and are cornering lights. When you turn on your blinker, that corresponding cornering light will turn on. Think of a stone-aged idea of intersecting lights.

1995-1996 = the master year. easiest to convert down to 92-94 or 97-00 with the right parts. The fogs are H3 bulb and you CAN use them on the 97+ fogs. It's just that the twist cap on the 95-96 harness is smaller than the 97-00. which means you might get water splashed up from under into the fog light.

round oval ones "cool" you guys crack me up...
