What I've found, O.L.T., is that it's getting to the point that it will be hard to find a sport luxury coupe with 280-320hp with a 6-speed manual option and a mechanical LSD option sold new. The SC was missing some of these features from its Soarer sibling of course but I find the very car formula to be extremely rare now.

The SC was the ONLY older car I was seriously looking at a couple of years ago:

Coupe, rear-drive, manual transmission, double wishbone suspension, available Torsen LSD (DIY), available factory big brakes (DIY), and a strong inline engine built as tough as a Mercedes OM617 in terms of durability, reliability and longevity. More horsepower is optional and not limited by a poor engine design.

The thing about most of the new cars with rare manual and LSD options is that they have too many new features in them for my tastes. When I go onto a car lot I pretty much expect to see at least one non-M3 class model with, at the very least, a stick, an LSD and optional Brembos. These are features my SC has with factory Toyota parts regardless of their having been stock or optional on the car to begin with and I see them as the most important features on any car whether its new or twenty years old.

My point is the intrinsic value of the SC itself when so equipped. If it's harder to find such a car brand new I find modern electronics and comfort features to be secondary or even third considerations, thus making the car I already own more valuable to me than a new $48k Lexus/Cadillac/BMW/Infiniti/Mercedes with all of the nice things they now come with. Thankfully some such options are still available for the time being.

I know I already chimed in with my list but I thought it was important to note that these cars are somewhat unique with certain options even compared to cars with many new features we would have liked on the option sheets for SC300/400's.

Brembo brakes front and rear
300-400hp+ turbocharged engine
Recaro leather seats
Driver oriented suspension
HID headlights
Warranty

As for modern telematics features I could care less and actually I'd prefer to pull the fuses on such things on modern cars
Winner. Winner

HUD's however are actually coming for the SC to completely eliminate the gauge cluster entirely for those who want the HUD option. The unit is stand alone, but has to be modified for the SC and pre-wired as well. Nothing on this stupid car is plug and play.

Anyway, back to your normally scheduled thread....... just saying one thing on your wish list is happening.

Rear quarter windows being able to vent out like those on the RX-8 or E36 coupe would be nice. Run-flats would be helpful.
TPMS.
Better bolsters on the seats.
Remote start
Push to start
Moon roof option alongside sunroof
Rear AC vents
Cooled seats
Retractable rear window shade
This might be overkill, but sometimes I want to have one of those drop-down sunglasses holders.
XM/nav
Puddle lights
FACTORY TINTED GLASS
Glass headlights
Aux port (I have this now, thanks to the forums)
USB port (Mine's in the cig lighter)

But in all honesty our cars were way ahead of their time when it came to features. There are cars today that lack the features our cars have, lol.

I have a 98 so I'll just compare to other '98 cars:

1. HIDs (98+GS, LS had it)
2. Nav (98+GS, LS had it)
3. Power rear windows
4. Front window that rolls down when you open the door, rolls up after you close it.

Other than that, I don't think it's fair to compare it to the current cars.

1. Stock HIDs so I don't have to keep removing mine for inspection.
2. SMG from BMW!
3. Remote Start
4. Push to Start
5. Auto leveling headlights
6. Not sure if it counts but a deeper trunk instead of having the huge gas tank...
7. Stock Brembos

What's to complain about? The 1992 SC400 set a new standard for luxury coupes! That was 22 years ago. I have a 1992 SC400 since new and I certainly don't expect it to have everything that's in my 2004 LS430 Ultra Luxury. Get real.
