Hello.

I can't seem to find a 97+ Passenger airbag online for sale.


So I was wondering if I can retrofit a 92-96 right passenger airbag in my 97?


Can I just take out the wooden piece in the 92-96 Airbag and slap it into my 97? Since the wood frame is different in the 97+

yes u can but u would also have to change the wood trim on ur dash the 97-00 have a solid wood trim like the 92 that dont have a air bag at all, not if u can get a 93-06 air bag ull need to remove UR GLOVE BOX AND REMOVE WING NUTS INSIDE DASH THEY RUN FROM center air vent to passenger air vent now that u can do that u can install 93-96 air bag and u have to get the 3 piece wood set from any 93-96 if ur plugs do not matcg up that is easy also disconect battery clip plug frm harbes and air bag and swap and then install

Still wont work...tried, the dash bar has a provision for the airbag. The plugs are diff and the wire colors aren't the same. Even then the wood trim idea wont work. You can jerry rig it but it wont fit the same. Not to mention it doesn't bolt down the same way, so if you rig it and you get in an accident the result may be worse! Just get the right airbag, SEM it the right color, or ride with no passenger bag. Its not worth it to rig it, get in an accident and be responsible for killing a passenger. Not to mention i believe its a federal law you will be violating!
