Default Converting cornering lights - foglights question

I read Rich ****'s very useful website detailing on how to convert pre-95 SC cornering lights into fog lights. Thanks Rich.

Question I have, would it be possible to throw in a rocker switch into the wiring to create a driver operated button to turn the lights on and off.

I was thinking of wiring the lights into the city lights. And figured I could add a switch, therefore I could turn on the city lights/driving lights without having the fog lights turn on if need be. And be able to turn on the fog lights when the city lights are on.

I am assuming I can throw the switch into the wiring running between the city light positive wire t-tap and the 86 spade.

Will this work, please advise.

Thanks
Biz

A switch should work anywhere in the circuit, although I would recommend you do run it off a low voltage source or ground like you said. I was going to use the stock stereo system's power/volume **** since it isn't really doing anything now. With that ****, I was thinking I could run the fog ground over and use it as a dimmer switch, which would serve no real purpose, but a cool mod anyway .

Rich, is it better to put the swich on the ground side or just get a relay and run the switch on the positive side...?

What's the URL to Rich ****'s web site? If this is not permitted, please PM me with the URL.

Thanks

Manaray, you can actually put the switch anywhere in the circuit, shouldn't matter at all. I'd do it on a low voltage source just because I hate getting shocked more than anything.
