Default LED Brake Lights

Just replaced my old cracked tail light with a brand new tail light assembly that I got from ebay. Only problem is that a couple of the bulbs are burnt out in the new assembly.

I would take the bulbs from my old tail light and throw them in the new one, however, they are all rusted from the water that got into the assembly from the crack.

I know the bulb size is either 1156 or 1157, but I figure, if I'm already replacing the bulbs, are there LED alternatives that would fit and so my lights could be brighter and last longer?

Absolutely they are....

Check out www.superbrightleds.com

Type your size bulb, more than likely a 1156, an search which LED you would like. They have many varieties to choose from for your different taste.

Just be forwarned that since the voltage that the LED bulbs draws is so low, your bulb out warning light may not turn off since it doesn't see the correct voltage draw that a regular bulb takes.

you can wire in a resistor along your lights to "fake" the voltage to your ecu. there are also LED flasher relays to help from the fast flash if you arent comfortable wiring in the resistors
