Aftermarket Climate Control (Popformance LXCC for 92-00 SC/Soarer)

Looks good, SCereal.... Good to hear the unit does as expected.
Yes, the unit comes with some basic install instructions including the wire assignments. I have the Pioneer X940 so the audio vendor will have no problem; appointment is this Saturday.
User manual link is still 404 and I am sure Patrick has a ton of emails - not sure when he will return and correct the link and, of course, start taking more orders for those now envious.

It's the pic mostly being scaled and taken with a phone with a dirty lens. It looks really good in person. It is almost perfectly matched to the oem trim. Everyone's going to have slightly different shading and fading, not to mention not everyone's is black but mine is and I'm very happy with the finish. I just wish the SD card wasn't crammed in the side there like it is but I'm sure it's for a reason or to keep the PCB layout simple.
My headunit splash screen is the lexus logo so it's kind of neat to have them both show the same thing at boot up. Honestly I think it looks great overall with the layout of the cabin. It'd look funky if you had an OEM headunit but if you have a big touchscreen, it blends in nicely. Gets rid of those huge buttons.
The gauge hookups appear to just be some screw down terminals on the side so it's going to have to come back out when I do that. I'll probably prewire all the inputs and put on a terminal of some sort so I can wire up gauges or change them down the road without having to disassemble anything.
Now if we can just get the manual to figure out how to use it to it's fullest, we'll be set.

I'm still so undecided on the 2-screen look (I also have a double din). Can anyone post pics a little further out? Like maybe standing 1-3 feet outside the car with the door open?

Man I'm still undecided. Half the time I think it looks good, the other half it looks crazy out of place. The stock AC unit looks better inside with the rest of the interior I believe, but I can't argue with the price/function combo if it works as advertised. Especially considering the failure rates on the stock units and prices for replacement.

I get mine done tomorrow (if all goes well).
Here is a "before" pic with stock radio and cc and then one after the Pioneer. Will post the "after" tomorrow or Sunday....

i'm really considering getting this for my SC400, since my climate unit is completely unreadable. Since this has a usb input, does that mean that it can be wired to connect to the sound system? I have the standard Nakamichi unit in the car, so this would save me money on having to upgrade to a double DIN.

Just back from the installer's and the folks at All Pro Audio in Santa Clara as usual took care to get this in with no hassles. My thanks to Jim Lee, Rob (RJ) Harris, and especially Dar.
Patrick got the link for the manual working just in time as it aided in wading through the setup screens (albeit many will not bother as the flow is pretty painless).
A few pics during the process and final results. Operating it takes a bit to get used to but WAY better than the stock screen. Highly recommended upgrade and the value of the future capabilities that are planned seem too good to pass up.
