OEM VOLUME BUTTON OTHER USES/HORN FIX for people with quick release steering wheel

Using it as a subwoofer gain control is an interesting idea. The other one I had is an aftermarket seat heater control, some of which use round buttons. Anyone try that? My SC was a Texas car originally, so they probably scoffed at the idea of seat heaters. I'll be re-doing the driver's seat upholstery (the one significant blemish to my car's interior) at some point, which would be the perfect time to add a heater.

My problem with push button start retrofits is, not only do they not really accomplish anything, they actually complicate the process of starting the car. If you have to insert the key anyway, pushing a button elsewhere is more work than just turning the key, which is a seamless step along with inserting it.
IMO, push button starts only make sense in the proper OEM sense where the key merely needs to be in close proximity. But, if you like form over function, go for it.
