Default New guy >PICS ADDED<

Just wanted to introduce myself. Been a long time lurker and was into the old datsuns for over 10 years. Was building my 5th z project (74 260z) when i found out that im going to be a dad. Im 30 btw.. so i started looking for a car that i could enjoy right away and mod as i drive it. Always wanted an sc or a second gen gs. Since i already have a 4 door sedan, (03 accord) i settled on a 96 sc300 auto. I love clean lines of these cars. Fairly easy to mod, add wheels and lower and the car turns heads. Not to mention i love the 2jz! Plans are simple. Decide on wheels and get coilovers. The interior will get redone a little at a time. Ive been digging thru all the wheel threads. Anyhoo i love this site, i am aware of the search function, and look forward to sharing my progress and checking out everyone elses.
P.s i plan on boosting after jr is born!
And will change my screename.. lol

Welcome aboard.

To properly introduce yourself, you must post a picture of the SC..JK

Check out the DIY section on here and the problems known for these cars.

Welcome to the CL forum! Everything you will need to know will be right here. And, for the sake of Mark and Me, post a couple pictures of that SC!

Welcome and congrats on your new purchase. I'm over the age of 30 as well and already told the wife that this car stays in the family no matter what. We already have a four door and my wife is looking at getting a Tacoma later this year for her landscaping business. Post some pics when you have a moment and ask us if you have any questions. After 20 years of existence, many of us know every bolt inside and out. And many of us have a jar in our garage with "extra" bolts and screws from past experiences with the SC

Welcome, congrats on the family addition.
I learned to drive on a neon green 240Z. I'll always have a soft spot for them. Are your Z builds documented on the net?

Use a free site such as photobucket to upload pictures. There might be a restriction on new members with a low post count?

When i first bought it two weeks ago.
Its now at my workshop that my brother and i share for our hobbies.
I polished the headlights as you can see in one of the pics. Car needs a serious bath and detail!

Wow, I've always wanted an older Z to refurbish. Your new SC looks great for a starter project.
