New Wheels! (F)255/35 ZR18 & (R)285/35 ZR18~Fit on Stock Suspension and Body??
Hi,
I just got a set of WORK VS-ZF in 18x8 and 18x9.5.
They are pre-fitted with:
Front = 255/35 ZR18
Rear = 285/35 ZR18 +43
My suspension is stock and will remain that way until further notice.
The rear tire looks nice and "Beefy", just how I envision it.
What (if anything) must I do to make these wheels and tires work well?
Should I use spacers? what size spacers would you think?
My priority order is > Performance/ride/looks (for now).
Thank You!

Hey, as far as spacers go, I used 1'' ones in the back with the studs on them and it gave a nice flush look, You would definitely have to roll your fenders though.
BTW I thought you just bought some Sc430 rims, second set?

I got the 430's and my stock bumper delivered from Boston. Acquired the Work's, and sold the ugly chromes. Cleaned them all then mounted the 430 wheels.
I will gladly roll the fenders to accommodate the "Fatties".
Would the fronts need it as well?

(This is the look so far)

Kinda sounds like what the stock TT wheels come in. I'm running TT wheels that are (F) 17X8.5 & (R) 17X9.5 +45. Personally I think 285's on a 9.5 wheel is a bit to much, but to each there own. Check my thread below if you want to see what those offset wheels will look like on a stock bodied SC with no spacers
I like the direction you're going with your car though by bringing it back to stock. Post up some pics!

Pardon my "nubeness" but too much in what way? The look? Safety?, Handling? what am I compromising?
Thank You!

Those tires sizes do sould beefy,
I wouldnt use spacers on any wheel unless its just for looks/showcar
You said your "priority order is > Performance/ride/looks (for now)."
There is a huge debate on using spacers and its far from anything performance wise.
I personally would never use them and would just get a right size wheel and tires instead.
The wheels you got sound pretty good lets see some pics

I benefited from your take on that...... Thanks!
I am going to mount them as-is and see what happens. They are quite large. I'm sure they will look great. I will focus on drivability first (i get distracted easily sometimes).

Coming right up:
(the screws are out in these pictures)
(the one without tires is off the net. It has the caps on tho so you can see them installed.)
