Default Blinkers Stopped Working....Hazards Still Work...I'm Puzzled

I already tried the search feature and I have seen a few people with the same issue, but none of those threads have had clear answers...

My turn signals were working just a few days ago and then today all of the sudden I noticed that when I click the blinker stalk the signals don't blink and nothing shows on the cluster so I can't even manually blink them...

The hazard button still works and makes them flash.

From searching here are the 3 things I found:

1. Clean hazard switch
-one member said this solved his issue, but I don't see how hazards work fine, but actual turn signals won't

2. Flasher has gone bad
-if flasher in kick panel goes bad will the hazards still flash? I thought that if flasher went bad then nothing would work...

Please shoot out any suggestions you guys have so I can fix this issue....I don't want to get in an accident or get a ticket over this issue.... Thanks!

have you changed any wiring in the center console? I had the same thing on my car and it ended up being me leaving wiring unplugged in the center console.

I had the same problem when I changed out the cluster from a 400 to 300. My problem is that the left blinker on the cluster doesnt show up but the actual blinker works. The right side works normally. I never really troubleshooted the problem or gave it much more concern till I read this thread. Now this will give me something to look into now.

Now that I think about it more, I also didnt touch anything in the console area. I only changed out the cluster to a 300, but ended using the motherboard from the 400, since this cluster had 242K on the mileage. I also changed out the odo board itself, thinking this would keep my current mileage to 178K, but it must be actually stored in the motherboard. So I just changed the whole thing. I still dont know why it worked the whole time, until I changed the motherboard out... I maybe on to something here.....

UPDATE! Finally had a chance to look at it and it ended up being the fuse in the driver's side kick panel....previous owner has a 20 amp fuse and it only called for a 7.5; The 20 amp in there did not look blown to the naked eye, but I tested it with a multimeter and current wasn't making it through it. I replaced it with the 7.5 and they work fine so far.

That sounds like a bulb issue...check and see if the bulbs are good.
