Does anyone have a DIY to remove the center wood trim piece?

So I bought an extra set of wood and SC430 steering wheel to get custom painted ...

and then I read this thread. Sounds like a lot of fun lol.

its actually easy on my 92, just pop the glove box and undo the 4 or 5 wing nuts. i only installed two back because they are a major pita to get to. The center console should be removed but you can get around it with a gerber on that one nut behind the vent. Ive taken my off twice and confident I can do it again in under 5 minutes.
