I have a '92 SC300 and my auto-dimming mirror is broken.....local junkyard has a '99 mirror and it has the same connector, but has 4 wires and my mirror only appears to have 2 wires although connector is the same....

Anyone know what those other wires are and if I plug the '99 one in will the auto dim be retained?

It should work my 95 has a 97 one, the other two wires are for the side mirrors auto dim I believe

Yes. I have a 97 auto-dimming mirror in my 93. Do be VERY careful attempting to take off the original screw from the windshield. Lexus tips them with loctite from the factory. Do not attempt to force the screw or brace anything at all on the windshield to get it off.

Ah I didn't even think about dimming side mirrors...I just wanted to make sure it would retain it's auto-dimming feature.
