^ nice. I definitely need that replacement gear since I stripped much of mine trying to remove it. Didnt realize you could buy just that part.

I used a plastic spacer that came inside my CD/DVD spindle packs. Some come with foam spacers as well. The opening and diameter are perfectly sized to slip over the mounting post.

I can't find these washers anywhere. Do you know another place that might sell them other than Loew's?

Here's a bump.

I just had this issue after replacing my alternator. I guess the steering wheel was resetting or something and caused it to go off gear.

For a washer, here's what I used:



It's a plastic brake disc off of my HPI Racing Nitro RS4 3 R/C car. I put one behind the blue gear and now it sits perfectly.

YEah I did my TRUNK STRUTS and by the time I figured out the retainer clips really worked the way I was convinced they didn't
I already had messed them up. BEND, then BEND BACK into place. That simple.
ow I always close my trunk from the middle, or else one of the struts will pop off
the mounting bolt. LOL
