No they definitely wont be over-priced. Should be cheaper than what SuperMade was charging.

That's what I'm talking about, Grant! Who else? Who else?!

Rideskinz won't know you're out there unless all you forum lurkers and SC owners post up with your thoughts on this clear lense project- even if you're only partially interested! It's good to hear what price you would realistically pay, and also to those that usually wouldn't consider getting these lenses- what would convince you to step up to the plate?

Im interested as well, but price is where it all comes down to it. I believe anybody can just get their lenses restore by some shop and get it cleared as shown in the picture sample. To protect it even more then this would be nice to have as well

If it's going to be cheaper than supermade pricing and the same fitment/quality, then I'm in.

Do you guys have an idea of how much more time you need for r&d and negotiations with manufactures before production starts? I know this is an interest thread, but I think giving people advanced notice of when they need to pay the deposit will give you a better picture of who is serious about buying (assuming every one can read details before replying).

Also is this going to be a one time production?

If a person does not have $200-300 liquid in their bank account, they might want to re-consider their priorities, imo.

I understand what you're saying though, but really the seriousness will only be seen when people put the deposit down anyways- it doesn't matter at all what people promise on the interweb, and in what context it was in. Also, it should be obvious by now that not many people pay attention to previous posts before replying in the forums! Hah

Once RideSkinz makes the mold (if we get there), they should be able to continue production just like a bodykit- but unless there are those initial investors there wont be a mold to begin with. Consider though, that (I assume) the more people that get in on this first mold making process, the cheaper it will be for each of those sets of lenses to those initial buyers. Would need RideSkinz to verify that though. Either way- it's looking like this project is going to be a success!

UZZ-TT, could you see what RideSkinz says about making a set of high beam lenses? i think it would be nice to have a matching set of clear highs and lows for our cars. sorry if this redundant. thanks

To everyone wondering about highbeams and fogs to go along with the lowbeam lenses, Rideskinz is working out the details and will post up asap. I can say that it will be easier to make the lowbeams because they are already clear and ready for a mold.

The Highbeams and fogs (3 generations no-less) would have to be sculpted a bit to remove the fluted factory lines. I can anticipate that if it is economically feasible to make a generation of fogs that it will be the 97-00's (First, at least) considering the RideSkinz lip is based on this design.

If they actually make it to production they will definitely be quality, so no worries on that front. Hope we can get to that point; and yes I have mentioned as well that it might be a good idea to try Kickstarter. I'm excited to hear back with the news!

thanks UZZ-TT for being so on top of things... If they can make it possible (lo and hi combo), count me in for sure. I'm really glad to see that we have a chance at another option for clear lenses.
