Hey post up some pics of your SC. If it was me, I wouldn't use Supra body parts. It will require cutting and fitting, and some custom work. IMO, it's not worth it. I'd go with a SC specific kit (several to chose from). This way you can find it without breaking the "bank" and doesn't require a lot extra custom work. Just my 2 cents tho. Either way, post up some pics...so we can see how much work you will need to do. Also, check into the SC classifieds for some good deals on parts. Lastly, welcome to CL.

The last one's the trunk... i repalced the front and back bumpers with SC400 bumpers. and rust in round the wheel well.. its in a black primer / matte black paint... i dont mind but the SC400 bumpers are the kinda blue i wanna paint it. so figure may aswell make the car look like i want it and then paint it... kinda that GT racing look but still a street feel... nothing crazy and over the top but still a "dont mess with me" look... if that makes sence.

i'm sorry but this car belongs at a junk yard, rebuild engine or not. The eingine is the least of your worries. Many people dont realize what they get themself into when buying a car like this. You better of selling the car for whatever you can get for it and save you hard earned money and buy something for 5-6k range thats clean. Because by the end of the day like it or not to get that car in a decently clean condition will cost you an arm and leg.

I think there's still hope with this car. Everything can be fixed or replaced, and this car can be a great restoration project. I'd worry about getting everything straight first before I'd think about a body kit. It's nice that you have a rebuilt engine. Most people here have to tune their engine up when they purchase an SC.

My two cents.

im all for restoring the neglected sc's but its true man you are in very deep here, looks like the car needs a top to bottom complete restoration.

Personally id walk away and find a new project car, its clearly been neglected I can only imagine the mechanical condition.

Its a parts car, at best.

Although the car looks like its had a really hard life many of those things can be fixed provided you have enough time and find some SCs in junkyards.

If you SHOULD fix it is a question that tbh only you can answer.

The thing I'd be very worried about is the rust on that rear fender because that's kind of an indicator how the underside might look. I used to live in the Dayton (OH) area (where I bought my sc) and although there was just some very minor surface rust on my car, the underside is rusted to hell (major PITA to do any work). I would check underside of the car thoroughly and see if you have any major rust issues (i.e. eating through the frame or something that could jeopardize the integrity of the car) before you start putting a lot of money into the car.

If everything turns out good, I'd love to see how it looks after you're done.

^^^ yea man here in canada rust is a major problem,,my quarter panels were rusted ,,ive fixed them up properly,,,but now im noticing lots of other areas underneath.

my brake lines are completely rusted out and now need to be replaced, and the underside does have significant rusting as well

at least for me I know how to od body work,if you have to take it to a shop forget about it,,,just sell the car.

i honestly would try to make money off all the motor parts, or selling the motor itself, and try a differnt SC. these are not cheap cars at all, and this one needs legit almost everything redone man. but, props to you if you can bring her back. would be quite the restore.
