My 1992 SC300 to 1JZGTE VVTI 2003 crown swap.
What's up guys! I got my engine in last Tuesday! Looks amazing. So far I've pulled the pans off cleaned up my rear sump and got it bolted to the new engine. The wiring so far doesn't look to be too much of a pain in the *** like everyone says.. Though we will know more on that once I've tried to get the car running! Once I get to my laptop ill upload all the current photos.

This is a crown engine/ wiring harness. And it's drive by wire. Why Toyota can't use the same connectors and pin locations baffles me... But I have to look at a wiring diagram for the next day matching up *this goes there*

Okay guys- so here's an update on the swap. I'm learning now that my only real tuning solutions are an AEM universal with a supra base map to start with. Or to buy a none drive by wire throttle body and the chaser ECU pig tails and wire it for use with a power FC.
My best advice is to pay more attention to what you're buying so you don't get a drive by wire throttle body. (ETCS-I, as to the ETCS) < the difference there is the "I" means the ECU controls throttle body position by monitoring the TPS, MAF, and front o2. Great for a stock engine- not needed for "I want to go fast"
If you want to get a newer, cleaner engine and have the extra cash, get a crown and then shoot for an ETCS throttle body/ wiring harness out of a soarer / chaser. The main issue I'm researching with that idea is that the ETCS-I doesn't have an idle air valve. It uses the throttle to control idle. So I may have to source an after market intake manifold with an IACV if I switch to the chaser setup.
