I am considering buying a dash kit to cover pieces that are not included on the factory kit

The above link I provided takes you right to the kit and selection of finish. On the right side there is a column asking OEM Match Real Wood or OEM Match Synthetic wood. As far as I know my 2000 Sc400 has real wood, but my question to you all is did some models come with real wood and others with fake? I am wondering if its just a preference to the purchaser but I feel like they would have a different color, and since no pictures are available I dont want to risk getting the wrong one.
