Have you ever felt the texture of plastidip? It's got a coarse feeling and is difficult to keep clean. You can't use a lot of cleaning products or wipe it dry with a towel. Plus, unless you have a lot of experience working with that stuff, it's going to show major imperfections.

i agree platsidip is near impossible to keep clean, it seems to pull dust out of the air like one of those mini blind cleaner things. it will look good right after you wash it, and thats about it.

Sure, why not? They sell it by the gallon pre-diluted to use with a power sprayer, and if you want it more satin than matte, they also sell their version of a clearcoat called glossifier. If you don't like it, you can always take it off. All you'll be out is about $200 and your time. Seems like a worthwhile venture. Just fyi - unless they have improved the white, you will need more coats to get the same overall color consistency as you would achieve will less coats of the other colors.

yay. saw a bunch of videos on youtube and even tough of doing it my self, but never advanced more than that. I am curious on how it will look.

Don't. Its just the trendy thing now, like rusty hoods or sticker-bombing. If you want a proper matte white look, go with vinyl.

If you have to ask on a forum if you should do it to YOUR car then obviously you shouldnt. But coming from someone that s a dipped SC, I only did it to not have my car be different colors and b/c I like the matte look.

Plastidip does attract alot of dust and dirt, but it doesnt bother me since i was my car weekly anyways. Also a tip, take your time and do it just how dyc does it in videos or you will have rough texture to your paint.

While we are on the topic, how does plasti dip stand up to cleaning? I finished the bondo/primer on the side skirt(was missing a chunk) and am thinking of plasti dipping the skirts and the bottom of the back bumper(part that flows with the skirts)

I did it with rattle cans 18, if u want it to come out smooth do it like dyc.com says.... but hey i rather drive a one color car than a tavky multicolored one itll hold me down til i get money for paint
