So my SC brought some strange issues, we wont get into all of them now. But the weirdest one is the gated shifter, it's missing like a little cover peice that goes right where the selector stick goes. I have no idea how to chnage fix this if its even fixable ? How the french toast does something like this happen in the first place. Any ideas on a fix ?

doesnt seem like a major fix. youll need to get the cover first. I suggest look around for people parting out 97 SCs or you can pm Aliga. Youd have to take the center console apart and put the plastic in, then put everything back together. There is a DIY on taking the gated shifter apart somewhere around here so just search for it in the forums. Alternatively to the first part, if you can find the material you can cut it into shape and put it in.

parting out a 98..... 97's don't have a gated shifter.

And don't worry that it says SC300. They SC300 and 400 are identical with regards to any and all interior pieces. For some reason, all the part listing are only showing up under the 300 because I'm guessing they were too lazy to mirror it under the 400.

Since were talking about issues with the gated shifter, mines has a lot of play when shifting. For example when i shift it to d, it can easily move to 4. Do you guys happen to know whats wrong with it?
