i was told that the engine come out of a soarer. i add the down-pipe figured it would be easier while it was out and thank god i did it this way bc it would be completely impossible to do with the engine in the car

it's an earlier 1JZ in that the PCV intake pipe is different on the early 1Js and weren't effective at drawing crankcase ventilation. There was a TSB on it and it involved an upgraded PCV valve (same as a MKIV supra one). It's a Soarer if the ECU that came with it has 4 rows of pins on all 4 connectors. Can't remember anything else about it other than that.

Thanks. So far the only reall issue im having is with with the alternator bc when i pulled the 2jz-ge out the clip on the alt stayed in the car and the 1jz's alt clip just runs into the wiring harness so im trying to figure out what to do. And im going from auto to manual and the clutch pedal bracket is a ***** and a half to get in

Top pic is the 1jz alternator and the wires just run back into the wiring harness.
Second pic is the alt clip that came off the 2jz and it goes into the harness that stays in the car.

Heres few more pics
OK so here's where i'm at right now with the swap.i have the engine and tranny in. i also have the FMIC in but i have a little tweaking to do to it. One side sits down about an inch or so lower than the other but its nothing major. i also have the power steering cooling lines removed BC its in the way of the IC pipes, but the kit came with a PS cooler. Im also having issues with the shifter bc the stock swan shifter extension hits the tranny tub so im just gonna cut out the area that its hitting. Im trying to upload pics but its not letting me so ill try to resize them.
