My car was raced in a WRL double 8 hour Enduro, here in Houston and performed great. At the time it was 2809 fully fueled with the stock GE and 175rwhp. It is now getting an LS1/T56 swap and will be under 2700lbs fully fueld with driver with 400rwhp. Probably close to 50/50 weight distribution if not better. 18X11's front and rear with 315/645/18 slicks on XXR 531's. I run Ls400 fronts and TT Supra Rears with EBC Yellow, for now. Have c6 Z06 adapters ready if needed. I expect the car to pull over 2g's lateral, as it was previously doing 1.3 with 275's with 300 treadwear tires.

Car will get more Aero mods and lightening.

After new wheels and fender flares. Under the knife at the moment.

I'm still slowly building mine, but I definitely plan to have it see the drag strip at least once per year.

VERY NICE!

How much more are you planning to take off? What weight reduction have you done? (besides the obvious pictured)

Basic things done at the moment: Completely gutted, all stock body harness and electronics removed, carbon fiber hood and trunk, fiberglass doors, 9lbs battery. You can read in more detail on the weight reduction thread with my posts.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...rksheet-7.html

At the moment I have thick steel sunroof welded, thick steel gas tank firewall, stock trunk gutted, pretty much stock engine bay area.

100lbs more of weight reduction planned is:
-Semi tubular front end with modified front wheel wells
-Aluminum sunroof
-Aluminum gas tank firewall
-Spare tire well removal and trunk area, with aluminum
-Misc extra metal inside the interior removal

150lbs+ reduction, combined with better weight distribution
-LS1/T56
-Aluminum Driveshaft 1 piece

75-90lbs reduction, 2806 was with 20.6 gallons of fuel
~5-7 gallons 20-30 minute races

175-185lb driver w/ gear

What series to do you plan to run in after the LS1 swap? Also, where did you get your trunk and doors? Nice looking car! I've been thinking about doing fender flares like that. Where did you get yours?

I plan on running NASA ST1 and maybe other series that have roughly the same structure. Pretty much anything goes with power/weight ratio as their main classing structure. Will most likely be running with the 5.5:1 ratio group, although I won't be making quite enough power at first. ST2 is 8:1, so I may be able to slide into that group, though no one runs it in my area. I think the car would dominate the ST2 class, but I can't help wanting to throw an ASA cam, mainly for the sound and WTF factor when people hear it start up .

The ST1 group is Corvettes, Porsches, Vipers and serious $100k cars.

I made my doors out of fiberglass, and I purchased the hood and trunk from a random guy on Craigslist. The fiberglass doors saved over 50lbs compared to the stock, completely gutted and welded on doors. Saved about 200lbs from the stock doors with door panels, everything inside and hinges.

Fender flares were from ebay. Type in Nissan fender flares.

How much power will that make with an ASA cam? That thing sounds insane! What are you doing for engine mounts for the LS1?

Did you run the WRL event with the 18x11's and 315s? Nice work on the doors, it looks good! Our doors, and hood and trunk are skinned about as light as we want to go. I want to keep the doors opening normal. Need to do some weight reduction on the hinges. Thanks for the tip on the flares and the steering quickener.

It will make about 400RWHP with just the cam and supporting mods. It's a low lift cam made for road racing. If I put ported heads it would make around 450-475. I'll be making custom mounts myself. I ran the WRL event with stock TT wheels 17X9.5 front and rear 275/40/17 with 300 treadwear Sumitomo tires. There is a hinge on my driver side door that I made from a fence hinge from Home Depot and Hood pins close it from inside. There was Team Viagra SC400 running with us that was pretty quick too, they won our class the first day.

The suspension had not been aligned and was less than -1 degree camber and toe way off. We still managed to put down the 4th quickest lap time I believe. Even with two unlimited cars running. On those tires with the crappy alignment I ran consistent 1:54's, taking it easy, at MSR Houston the week after that race and won two Reverse Australian pursuits. That was the cars first track experience, since being in a field for a couple years. It made it 18 hours of racing before it had a BHG, which is why I'm putting the LS1 in.
