Default Trunk release won't work

Hi again
How would I go about fixing the trunk release switch interior button.
I know that it might be locked, but I have no valet key. Just re-made ones.
Does anybody know how to jerry rig it or something?

pull off the panel and the plug should be a two wire plug. jump it with a wire and itll open. if you want to rig a button then you will need one that has a spring-ed toggle switch so that it will throw the switch back into neutral position

The trunk release has two plugs. Top plug closest to the instrument cluster is a blue and something wire, but the bottom plug closest to the brake pedal is a green and i believe red wire. The green and red wires need to be connected together.
You should search it, there are 2 detailed writeups on this with pictures of what jumpering wires together.

Goodluck

I dont want to be a jerk, but youre now in 2012, where anything and just about everything is on the net. And being in a specifically catered car market that has such an awesome search feature , you should try it out, i promise it won't bite.

Check your fuse also. It is possible for it to be blown.

I checked the "door" fuse. it looked almost corroded inside but it wasn't broken in 2. The gas cap lever works anyway.
