Default swapping 95 and 97+ tail lights

So i did it. no cluster codes on either car and no hyper blink. The box is behind a metal covering on both cars. they both are not yellow. i believe the ones from pre 95 are yellow or the spoilerless one is yellow. but my 95 tail lamp failure module was black and my buds 98 was brown.

His swap was definitly easier. i just plugged in the 95 tails and no cluster light or hyperblink, plug and play. however fitting the 97 tails on my 95 was a biatch. i had to shove them in and had to trim a tiny tiny bit on one of the holes to make them fit perfectly. no hyperblink but cluster light was on. so eventually i swapped the tail light lamp failure module and both cars were running perfectly.

But ANYWAY on to the pictures

I think that the hyper blink only affects SC's of the years '92-'94. I remember not having to worry since my SC is 95

95 and 97 have the same number of turn signal lights, so no hyperblink.
you will get the indicator for the brake light on the 95 at least, but not if you swap the yellow ecu boxes with the tails and harnesses.

I have 97 lights on my 95. Just the little brake light pops up on the cluster as soon as i hit the brakes after starting the car. But it doesn't bother me at all.

It's in the trunk toward the left side under your liner.

since yours is a 98 putting in 95-96 tails requires nothing to be done, just take out the 98 ones and put in the 95-96 ones ALONG WITH THE HARNESS. you wont get hyperblink or a lamp failure light. the key hole is actually a part of the car and not the tailight, otherwise youd have to get a new key everytime u swapped tailights lol.
