Default HELP! Disable or remove Door chime??

standard door ajar chime stays on when key is not in ignition and car doors are all shut. will not stop

Just got a 97 SC300. Has a Python alarm on it. when i was driving it home the negative terminal of the battery came off so when i turned it off car didnt start up. then found out the terminal disconnected , reconnected it and noticed the chime which wasnt there before. also kicker panel/floor board light stayed on at all times. (dome light switch off)

i removed the floorboard bulb already. now i want to find the device that crates this awful sound of a chime.

other notes:

chime turns off when im driving but floorboard light stay on//
when key is removed it stays on.
even after i get out the car and shut the door its stays on. along with the chime even after i try to lock it with the remote alarm

yes, this is this "speaker". remove it and you are happy, but its not easy to come to the modul in the back of the fuse panel! i had done this last year on my 97 SC400, a very great mod

After an hour and a half of tearing literally everything apart, I finally found it. This is on a 1991 Lexus LS400.

This is not for everyone. The only reason I disconnected the chiming speaker is because I keep my ignition key in the ignition all the time (I have an alarm where you can't start it with the key unless I click the unlock button on the remote first, so idc about leaving the key in).

Anyways, I was searching and searching for the "ding ding ding ding" speaker, that's usually easy to get to, or is sadly on top of the fuse box... It wasn't (found out after tearing it all apart!!!).

The chime speaker for leaving your key in, is behind the steering module box. Basically, if you follow the steering telescope down to the firewall, there will be a white box against the firewall above. You'll have to reach behind this box, and you'll feel the speaker. There's a connector to it, so you can just feel around and disconnect that little box.

No more door chime, no more chime when the ignition is put to On position.

I just personally like things to be quiet!!! I've done this on all my cars and this one was the HARDEST to find.

It's considered the ignition chime or door chime.
chime.

Anyways just thought I'd share as I only found answers about the speakers location for a newer SC.
