FYI, I removed the little flat 4 prong connecter for the LED strip and soldered power and the CAT5 directly inside the controller.

The blue is not perfect, as the AC, stereo, and heated seat buttons are almost tinted purple due to the factory button colors. But I love the blue.....

I wish I had a black interior, it really makes the LEDs pop.

I have red/blue for the gauges and my kenwood deck has the red/blue too.

The way I did it was all really easy to do.

I think this is bump worthy. This is also a great fix for anyone wanting a DIY backlighting option for their climate control or radio.

I never pulled a stock radio apart, but if memory serves me correctly, there is room to make this work in the climate control.

Hmmmm. That sounds like fun to try!

They turned out very good.
The hardest part was taking out the cluster.
My first one came out with couple hot spots .

Second one came out with pretty much all even brightness across the whole cluster.

Once again thank you for such a good idea for cheap.

Amazing!!!! This is the best idea I have seen to fix the back lighting. Thank you for taking the time to figure it out. And for $10.00 and some sweat equity!!! What a deal!!!

Now if those pesky blacked out needles could be repaired at home, this thread will go viral.

PLEASE find a solution for those needles!!! I see you said that you fixed one. Keep up the great work!

I knew I should have paid more attention in my electronics class!!!

I took my car to a speedometer shop locally to get a quote on fixing my cluster. He wanted $600.00. He said 95% of my cost was repairing the cluster not taking it in and out of the car. I have found a few different companies that will do the job for about $200.00 but I don't like the idea of shipping the cluster back and forth.

You are going to save people a lot of money and hassle my friend!

I am ordering the parts today for that amazing REVOLUTIONARY back lighting upgrade!!! Who could get bored with that? Being able to change colors instantly!! WOW!!!
