I never said that. Im just saying I'd rather replace a $250 wheel than look for a rare wheel and end up paying $600.

BBS are for German cars. Never liked them on anything else myself.

The HP's on my car (sold last year) are a similar design to the BBS style wheels, but were changed enough with concave and angled spokes to make me like them enough to use them. I still don't think they were the best choice "of all time", but they looked good enough. Straight spoke flat face BBS however I only like on German stuff for which it was designed in mind for.

As far as knockoffs, rule of thumb is never spend more on wheels than the car is worth.

I respectfully disagree about German wheels on a Japanese car.

After all, some Toyota cars (like the Supra TT) run OEM, German-made Bilstein springs and shocks. I had OEM Bilstein shocks on my Tundra. There are many Toyotas that run that run Bosch ignition components...

As far as BBS goes, BBS has made Toyota branded wheels in the past, especially in the TRD lineup, which is known for performance. Given this, it is difficult to support the argument that BBS-style wheels are only for German cars.

I'm still completely stumped how a geman shock and a german spring have anything to do with a german wheel design for a german car. It's not the german, it's the cosmetic designation of the artist who made them for a specific intention. "BBS has made for toyota" that right there is your key line. Specific design for specific application. LM reps had the german cars in mind, but of course you can use anything on anything with somewhat differing results.

Truth!

I understand people like rocking the rare wheels and all but $3000+ wheels on a car worth about $2-5k? C'mon son. That's the donk theory.

Not true about BBS wheels are for German Cars.
ALL the expensive BBS wheels you see such as the LM and the LM-R as well as their racing wheels and OEM applications are made in Japan by Washibeam & Co. which is a supplier to BBS in Germany.

Wheel designs and brands are so subjective..... there should be no reason someone can't put a wheel on their SC if they like how it looks. Who cares what everyone else thinks.

Could be great depending on the width of the wheel.
