Default getting my first sc4

well its not really my first cause i learned to drive in this exact car but it belonged to my uncle and he took very bad care of it and i finally convinced him to give it to me so hopefully this month i will be receiving it (after taking care of a confusing title problem) it needs a whole new interior swap new a/c system pretty sure tune ups and a lil engine work (car has been sitting for like 3 years) i really want a AC body kit and thats about it if any one has any advice or tips or hook ups please let me know

Well its always good getting a free car. Before you go and spend money on cosmetics, I would start with fixing anything drivability related. Tune up, checking codes if there is any and starting there. Cause there is no point in having a nice looking car if you can;t drive it.

verry true a long time ago one of his friends drove it in a storm and crashed it on a curb and messed up the cars computer and he supposedly has a new one sitting there waiting to go in will changing the computer pose a major problem ? and where and how would i go about checking the codes?

I am not familar with this platform yet, its my first lexus/ toyota etc, if its 96+ then you can plug in a scan tool to a obd2 port under the steering wheel by your knees and check the codes. If its pre-96 there may be a special diagnostic plug found somewhere on the car. Usually under the hood. But again I do not know on these cars.

Another issue may come up if the keys are programmed with the cars ECU/ BCM if it has a BCM module. You probaly cannot just swap computers and your keys work. But this in theory I am not 100%.
