Just do the 12V mod. It is reversible if it doesn't work. It takes no more than 30 minutes to do.

if it bogs down, then comes back alive. its your fuel pump relay and/or your fuel pump. check both, they both give your issue your explaining, and im leaning towards the fuel pump relay giving the age of the vehicle... how many miles your lexus has?

I just hit 145,000 miles. And when you say relay, you mean the fuel pump ECU that everyone is telling me to bypass correct? I can probably buy one from Aliga, but I have a feeling that any used unit will just break down in a matter of time.

You should have jumped the fuel ecu plug before you took it to the mechanic, it is under the rear armrest panel driverside.. take rear seats out and than the panels.. it is a black box. I figured out the wires myself, the think it was the two thicker ones, you can do a search online. Mine did the same thing (it was a 92 5spd sc300 i had a few years back) i bought a walbro for it and installed it. I thought it was good than sitting in the shop it just shut off again. I jumped the plug on the fuel pump ecu and it fixed the problem.

It's the clutch, pressure plate, and pilot bearing.

They want $699 including parts and labor

Mama is gonna make me sell it once all the work is done though

So whoever buys it will have an SC that looks like it came off the showroom floor under the hood lol Hopefully I will get at least $3k

Dude, that effing sucks. If you lived near Denver I would fix your car for free just so you could keep it. Seriously, I wish I could help in some way.

Start your asking price at $5900. Then negotiate from there. I wouldn't sell for anything less than $4000 especially since its a 5spd.

Mama cooled down a bit, but I better start hiding mods a little better. I also need to buy a new reliable 4 door car if I plan on keeping this thing. And I'm not talking about a fun car (STI, EVO, etc) either.

New $732 clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing feels good.

But now I have a clicking noise coming from the front passenger wheel. It starts at 40mph and increases the faster I drive.

Caliper maybe? I think the tow truck screwed something up.

I can't win with this car.
