Default There's no such thing as going too far to answer a tech question

Had a user PM me and ask a tech question that I couldn't answer looking at the FSM's. We needed a concrete physical example in front of us, but the problem is that with all the components and wiring inside the car it was just impossible to answer his question.

Me being me.... and y'all know I don't stop when it comes to the SC's electrical system..... I decide the only thing to do is build an SC in my attic to answer the question. No limits .

Figured you guys would enjoy the pics of a complete SC - without the SC.

The trained eye can see every major component down to the windshield wiper assembly and power seats .....and if you're really paying attention... the key in the ignition.

And uh........ don't mess with me on electrical in an SC. I'll turn around and build a car in my attic if I have to.

I personally stripped a complete parts car down to the last bolt and didn't cut or lose one single plug or screw. I knew I would be using it for research so it is 100% perfect.

Hahaha, Nice attic set up... Do you sit up there and pretend to drive around sometimes.. lol

I need to just get a parts car to have extras of all of this wiring like you have. That wouldnt be a half bad thing.

I love the layout and the pics. I can imagine the car...

The irony is that this is directly above the garage so I can look down the stairs and see two SC's under me facing the same direction as the mockup. It's kinda like having 2 and a half SC's. LOL

I imagined you would build a stealth bomber in a closet but braids are nice too.

Your devotion is epic! Even with a 4-car garage and an empty area upstairs from it I think my wife would come unglued if I did that!

Forgive my ignorance but why or what would you use this for? To trouble shoot a GTE swap? To trouble shoot parasitic drain? Just scratching my head at the need for all that lol.
