Looks good, the AC style bumper sits too low without side skirts.

This reminds me, I really need to get my **** in gear and have my 97 bumpers painted.

It looks good. Did you use off the shelf rattle can or did you go to a paint shop and get a aerosol can with factory paint code.

well speaking from personal rattle can experience...... just about any generic black in a can is a damn close match to the stock color. be sure to put a few coats of clear on it or it will fade very quickly into a matte finish. imo i would not waste my $$ having a shop put the exact color black into an aerosol can.... because in the end its still a rattle can job, a temporary fix. not hating, cuz my kit is all rattle canned until i get $$ for a whole spray. looks good!

I cant believe people are spray painting their cars and others are condoning it..

I dont even need to use the 'its not a Honda' cliche for this. I wouldnt even do that to a Honda.

I half agree with you. Walmart rattle can or just off the shelf stuff I don't agree with. But I have used the paint shop stuff.
You go into the a good paint store and tell them the code you need. They mix and put it in a rattle can. Its the same one stage paint that most people use to paint cars with a HVLP gun. You can even pick your brand of paint just like if you was buying quarts at a time. If I'm not mistaken you can even get primer, base coat, and clear if your a base coat clear coat kind of guy. The tips you get equal about a 1.4 needle on a gun. You can get a really good result especially if your just doing a bumper or skirts.

The one stage paint does a great job on single color cars. If your trying to match a pearl color then you'll be able to tell a difference depending on lighting.

O yeah and i'm not saying it doesn't look good, because it does look damn good. Just letting him know there is a way to get a near perfect match out of a rattle can that he may not want to go back and have repainted later.

Yea I find it absurd as well. Why not at least get a MAACO paint job done?

what's so absurd about this? dude doesn't have money for a professional paint job and wanted to make his bumper look better for the time being... so that's what he did. it's not like he tried to rattle his whole car... which i've seen on this forum by the way...
