Cop arrested someone ontop of my trunk.. now its scratched up -_-
Decided to make a 1.5 hour drive back to where i used to live last summer to go to a local car meet because i havent seen any friends in a long time from home.
meet went well until some vandel was spray painting somewhere outside the meet, got seen by a cop and ran into our group of people. the cop came hauling into the meet, lights and sirens blazing and jumped out the car to grap the suspect... the suspect then stopped to hide behind my car.
cop came out and grabbed him, through him against my trunk where i heard the noise of plastic braking.. i could only imagine it being my oem wing. he was pushed up against it for awhile and he tried to get away which left 3x 6" scratchs on the rear of the spoiler and what appeared to be spider cracks on top of the spoiler from where his hand was. the officer then pulled him off my car and off to his squad car when he paused for a moment, looked back with his mag light to see the damage. i saw his face, he knew he scratched the crap out of my car.
so i ended up talking to another officer, he got my license and tag number and told me to call the barracks later to follow up. so i did, and they then proceed to tell me that there was no damage done to my car that they could see. LIES i blantently pointed out everything, its not at ALL hard to see. so they asked if i could come in today to the barracks before between 1pm and 4pm to show them the damage. problem is i live 2 hours from the barracks and i work full time and cant really take off work.
i filed a claim with my insurance this morning (thank God for full coverage). An adjuster will be calling my later today to handle the case.
i dont have any really good pics of it right now but this will do (only have a pic SOME of the scratches. this is 6+ inchs long btw):
my girlfriend as a SLR that im going to get better pics with today and mail a letter to the Barrack Commander with a formal complaint and possible court action if they try to push me to the side.

aww man that suqs bro i hope everythng goes your way it would been funny try to citizens arrest the cop for the same crime as the grafitti guy vandalisim on private property lol

yea, im kinda upset. it just seems like things keep happening! and i have actually alot of gold flake in the paint so its not going to be a easy fix..

damn police, get that fixed ASAP. Believe it or not water will get under the paint. Then after it rains, or if you wash the car, you go to open the trunk and dry the seams...then water will come gushing out lulz. Happened to me a few times cause I have a scratch on the back side of my wing. Then the idiot who installed my wing didn't use stainless anti-rusting bolts so rust is mixing with water and leaks down my trunk from time to time. It has stained the paint. I have to buff it several times a year. I hate the 90's whale spoiler anyways and have been looking to take it off.

Wow this makes me mad
The lack of respect they show to our personal property is crazy, I would push hard and take the pd to court as they carry insurance for this exact type of thing!
