Is $600 a good price for used Supra wheels?
I found a set of used Supra wheels, the 17x8 front 17x9.5 rear, from the mkiv turbo supra. they come with tires. seller said about 70% tread left on all 4. so is $600 a good price? or should i try to ask for less? I don't really have much experience with buying things like this. seller said no curb rash, but the chrome is bubbling in a few spots.

As a reference,
about 3 years ago I bought some used Supra TT wheels from Supraforums. THey were off a 98 Supra, silver (nonpolished). The tires all had holes in them and chunks coming off (as if they used it in a burnout contest). The silver finish was faded, scratched and nasty.
I paid $450 shipped which was VERY cheap at the time. But I had to buy 4 new tires, and get each wheel professionally refinished.
So $600 with good tires is a great deal.

I got 4 TT silver wheels in great condition, decent tires, mounted, balanced, delivered on a pallet for $645.00 off ebay. All I did was bolt 'em on. Sold the original wheels w/tires for $350.00. I'm happy.

Bubbling chrome sucks! It's only going to get worse and be a total nightmare to fix. I would hold out for a polished set, or get a painted set. I picked up a refinished set with zero rash for $600 shipped, but that was without tires. They look nearly new. You can find really nice ones for less than that, but you have to be on the lookout for them because they go fast.
EDIT: There should not be clearance issues with BBKs should there? I mean the TT comes with BBKs stock...?

If you are buying them locally and they have been on a California car, I somewhat doubt you'll have any bubbling issues at all. Around here bubbling usually results when the chrome wheel comes into contact with road salt that is used during winter months. If there is a crack in the chrome finish, water can enter underneath the chrome and also cause bubbling, but most of the time something corrosive (like salt) is what breaks down the chrome and makes it bubble and eventually peel away. So, if you are not buying locally, I would ask if these wheels have been used during winter months where salt or other abrasives are used on roads during winter. Good luck.

first off can i say you all rock for your help! they are the chrome ones, the bubbling is minor, i will be seeing them either tomorrow or tuesday hopefully, in CA, although don't know if the car was always in CA the whole time. if everything looks good, i will get them and post pics once everything is finished! i really appreciate your help!
as for the offset, i have found that the 16" supra ones were +50mm like ours, however i am not sure if the 17" ones were also +50mm, i have heard potentially that they are +38mm. but i am not currently lowered so i dont think i will have fitment issues.
my main reason for getting them was the additional width in the rear (9.5 vs my stock 6.5) so i can use wider tires in hopes of actually catching traction off the line.
