I much prefer the digital dash to the analogue. A Soarer with all it's other technical wizardry like, TEMS, EMV, ultrasonic mirrors, air/active suspension, etc just wouldn't seem right without the digital cluster. I wish I had digital in the GS and LS430.

They do suffer from blinky dash but are simple to repair and convert to MPH. My Soarer V8 Ltd dash was repaired at 95,000 miles and was still perfect 7 years later at 230000 miles when sold. The 2.5 TT dash in the second picture was also replaced with a repaired unit and that has had no further issues either. Recently sold to a young man from Germany who reported reaching a clearly displayed 163MPH on a quiet straight stretch of Autobahn on his way home to Hamburg.

Cut the JDM plugs off, solder on USDM plugs and install the USDM cluster. Truth be told it's pretty easy wiring since the important sensors and voltage values are the same - hence the reason JDM engines work perfectly with USDM clusters. Only con is as stated you'll lose the display for the special JDM functions.

^^Racepak is the way to go. I hate analog clusters. Hhhhhhhhhhhhhate.

The whole IM IN A SPACESHIP BICH thing in my Soarer(s) never get/got old. The digi dash is almost as big a plus as the 1J for me. But when it the factory cluster starts going screwy a Racepak will be on its way in. Then I'll need to mount machine guns and rocket launchers or giant lasers or something.

Racepak is just blue but can program any sensor readout and diplay setting. Only problem is if you arent running a standalone you have to buy there sensors to wire it to and that can get pricey. I'm running an AEM and can just plug directly to it and read anything it does. The install of the clusted itself was very easy just bolted in place of the stock cluster with a couple simple brackets
